The Rainbow Pup, Series #1

Once upon a time, there was a pup. She was born by an ordinary dog, but she was born rainbow colored. She was born to be special and someone adopted her.

When she was one month old, over night she snuck out under the fence. (She dug a whole under the fence.)

She set off for Goblin Gate. Rainbow pup blended in with the gate. Then she jumped up and blended in with the sky. No one saw her. She was safe from Goblin Gate. Okay, at least she thought she was safe.

There were four more goblins on the side of the gate she was on. When she saw the first one, she quickly turned green to look like a bush. When she was out of Goblin Gate she came to Dangerous Dragon Palace.

She snuck around the right side. There was a dragon on the left side.

She came to Pokemon Town next. There were Piplup, Pikachu, and Phanpy. She almost got hit by Mudkip's water gun. It took awhile to get through Pokemon Town because like 300 Pokemon lived there.

Pikachu got mad at Rainbow pup for jumping on his back to dodge Mudkip's attack.

At last she got to Little Town. Everything was small, except her. She smooshed 900 million houses. She smooshed zero people even though they were small.

She smooshed zero pets even though they were the smallest there.

She smooshed only one hotel. (That hotel had no business people.)

Little Town thought there were such things as aliens. As soon as she crossed the Little Town, she decided it was time to go home.

Week long playdate.

Grandma Dolly was here for a visit. Of course, the kids had a fantastic time. The kids seem to argue more while grandma was here. After grandma left Ava explained why. "You know mom, when we have playdates with 3 kids instead of 2 kids how it's hard to agree what to do. We had a long playdate with grandma and there were 3 of us. We had a hard time getting along." They still had a great time.

One morning, Grandma kept them busy with a rock painting project. The kids had a blast and made some colorful rocks to add to our extensive rock collection.

We had a great "playdate". Thanks for coming, mom; we'll miss you.

Ava's first grade class did an end of the year performance for the parents. First, they did plays. Ava was in The Gingerbread Boy, she was one of the narrators. We taped it, but it is much too long to post here. After the plays were over, the class sang this song for us.

Bean Bag fun

Yesterday while we were at Sam's house. Sam and Jack played a really fun game. They took EVERYTHING soft out of Sam's room, Amy's room, and started unloading Sarah and Chris' room, and threw it all down the stairs. Then they slid and jumped into the pile. When it was time to clean up, they dragged everything back up the stairs. In the process, they discovered the bean bag had a hole in it. It was full of "cool beans!" After awhile of unnatural quiet, we decided we'd better check on them.

This is what we found. Sarah thinks she will be finding beans until Halloween!
