Ava thinks we've gone a little "batty"

It is a beautiful summer day here in Portland, so Mat and the kids were putting up the umbrella so we could eat dinner outside. When they lifted up the umbrella, they saw a baby bat. Mat saw the guano, and decided we would eat inside.

Jack asked Mat what kind of bat it was. Mat told Jack it was a dracula bat and at night the bat would turn into a man with a cape (see below). Ava decided then that we should name the bat Edward (maybe Sarah and I shouldn't talk so much about Twilight).

So then Mat said, "it's like he's (the bat, a.k.a. Edward) in his cave". Jack responded, "you mean he has a booger in his nose?" (Jack has a lot of "bats" in his cave (his nose)). Then, Jack started with the vampire riddles.

Why did everyone call the vampire crazy?

Because they heard he's gone batty.

What do you get if you cross a giant with a vampire?

A big pain in the neck.

What do you say to a naughty vampire?

You're a big pain in the neck!

Why does Dracula buy the newspaper every night?

So he can read his horrorscope.

What do vampires eat at baseball games?

Fang-furters and fries.

Check out our pictures of the bat in his cave.

And the last one, What did the little vampire say to the judges when he won the bat boy contest?
Fangs alot!
